Apple cider donuts are cake-like donuts flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and of course, the apple cider that gave these sweet treats their name and they pair perfectly with bikes. It’s true. There is nothing quite like the fresh-out-of-the-fryer steamy goodness of a cider donut midway through a fall ride. While the cider donut is not as quintessential to Vermont as the maple creemee, it is a New England fall staple and one that deserves respect.
